On Sunday, Jan. 5, at about 2:45 p.m., Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo drove several journalists across the runway from the passenger terminal at the Aspen airport to the site of the private jet that crashed at approximately 12:23 p.m.

Private jets in Aspen on the tarmac after Sunday's jet crash. The airport was shut down after the incident. There were several private jets, and a United airlines commercial jet, waiting to take off when the accident occurred.
