Demand management discussions continue amid worsening Colorado River crisis

Data dashboard: Lake Powell hits record low

• Lake Powell storage falls to a record low of 32.45% of capacity.
• Lake Powell’s surface elevation drops to 3,554.24 feet, also a record low.
• Roaring Fork River flowing at 32.4 cfs at Aspen, or 32.7% of average.

Tracking the Curve

The seven-day positivity rate in Eagle County reached 6.2% on Thursday. This week’s rates have been the highest since April. Fifty-five breakthrough cases (cases among fully vaccinated people) have been reported since April, according to the county’s dashboard, which represents 0.3% of the fully vaccinated population in Pitkin County. Eleven cases of the Delta variant have been reported in the county.
